ABOUT HAFEN'S SELF SERVE GARAGE

Owned and run by Zacharias & Caitlyn Hafen

Hafen's Self Serve Garage is owned by Zacharias and Caitlyn Hafen. Zach works as a real estate agent and serves as chief mechanic for the Hafen racing team. Caitlyn is a racer currently working toward a spot in IMSA competition.

Their path into the garage business started with a loss. After the Paradise Fire destroyed Caitlyn's family home, they used the insurance settlement to buy their first race cars — and quickly ran into the same problem every DIYer and racer knows: nowhere affordable to actually do the work. No garage, no lift, and shop labor rates that make racing on a budget nearly impossible.

That's the gap Hafen's Self Serve Garage fills. Zach and Caitlyn still use the bays themselves to repair and prep their own race cars, and they built the business around the same idea: give high-skill enthusiasts — racers, students, apartment dwellers, anyone who knows how to turn a wrench — access to a real lift and a full shop's worth of tools, by the hour, without shop labor fees or a membership commitment.

Today that means two locations open 24/7 in Provo and West Valley City, Utah, built around one goal: a community of people who can get their cars fixed right, on their own terms, without breaking the bank.
